Once again this league will be running in season 2005-06 with teams from Kinlochleven, Lochaber, Lochgilphead, Oban, Tarbert and Tobermory High Schools competing at S1/S2 and U-16 levels. The club have carried out coaching sessions at Lochgilphead and Tarbert to help establish teams here under the watchful gaze of coach Billy Thomson.

A gathering of the above clubs plus Arran was held at Oban on 01 October to allow some competitive matches for around 100 youngsters. This was a great success and will be repeated over the season to allow all the organisers and coaches to meet and exchange ideas. The next such event is another gathering at Oban of all the league teams on Saturday 19 November from 10am-2pm.

The Rotary Club of Oban and the Ryan MacPhail Trust have both donated funds to allow the purchase of training equipment for the Oban Lorne Midi's. The shirt sponsors are kindly sponsored by MacQueen Bros, continuing their unstinting support of the club.

All the Oban Lorne volunteer coaches are qualified at either foundation or adult level1 or 2. In addition all Youth Coaches have been screened by Disclosure Scotland and we have adopted the SRU Youth Coaching Guidelines as club policy.
